**Job Opportunity:**

We are seeking a Community Resilience Officer to join our team at Multicultural NSW.

The role is a unique opportunity to support the challenging and meaningful work of building social cohesion and community resilience in an increasingly uncertain world.

About the Role:

  • Prepare high-quality, evidence-based analysis, advice, and briefings on complex and sensitive social cohesion issues;
  • Plan and deliver multiple projects with competing priorities and strict deadlines;
  • Negotiate and develop strategic relationships with community, government, police, and academia to achieve project and policy priorities;

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and demonstrated relevant experience;
  • Understanding and experience of government policy development and parliamentary processes and a clear understanding of legislative framework and strategic priorities;
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication, including report and brief writing and formal correspondence, as well as professional presentation skills and interpersonal communication with team members and community members on complex and sensitive issues;
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple complex tasks with competing deadlines and establishing productive relationships with multiple stakeholders including contractors, government agencies, and members of the public;
