Process Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Process Engineer to oversee all aspects of assigned commercialization and capital projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the execution of assigned commercialization and capital projects, as well as supporting and improving existing food processing cells and production lines.

  • Collaborate effectively with R&D, engineering, maintenance, contractors, and other support teams to design, develop, procure, and implement new technology and/or retrofit existing food processing and production lines.
  • Develop and maintain detailed engineering diagrams, cost analyses, project schedules, bid proposals, manage contractor activity, and ensure safety standards are met.
  • Analyze packaging, processing lines, and utilities within the facility, identifying limiting components and determining the cost and benefits of any changes.
  • Work closely with leadership and plant management to identify, evaluate, and assess opportunities for improving production efficiency, sustainability, and quality from an engineering perspective.
  • Lead optimization activities related to capacity, process consistency, and cost reduction, providing engineering expertise in scale up and development of new products and processes.
  • Investigate equipment and/or process failures or inefficiencies, developing and implementing corrective action plans and performance improvements.
  • Develop detailed plans for vertical start-up, including standards and performance-based User Requirement Specifications (URS), factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), commissioning, qualification, and verification (CQV).
  • Advise maintenance and operations personnel on proper operation of systems and serve as a source of expertise in the area of engineering and equipment maintenance for problem analysis and troubleshooting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent engineering degree).
  • A minimum of three (3) years' engineering experience designing and executing on manufacturing equipment/capital projects.
  • A minimum of three (3) year experience in Food, Beverage, Personal Care, or other Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) manufacturing equipment, Pharmaceutical resulting in a very strong and broad depth of knowledge in process, mechanical, facilities, and packaging equipment.
