Clinical Mental Health Specialist

The Mercy Health Clinician provides intensive clinical assessment, treatment, and support services to clients who are in acute psychiatric crisis. You will form part of a multidisciplinary team and be required to provide highly responsive and flexible service to consumers and carers.
Key Selection Criteria- Demonstrated competency in mental state and risk assessment over the phone or face-to-face.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in acute community mental health.
- Solid understanding of legislative requirements.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to document and search appropriate databases.
- Current Driver's licence and Working with Children check.
Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with successful completion of a specialist undergraduate psychiatric nursing program or a Post Graduate Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing qualification or
An approved degree in Psychology and registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist or
Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist or
A recognised degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
