Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough diagnostic testing to identify vehicle issues and develop effective repair strategies.
  • Perform a wide range of repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine overhauls, brake repairs, and transmission servicing, to ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
  • Inspect and test mechanical units, such as engines and electrical systems, to locate faults and implement corrective actions.
  • Replace and repair faulty parts, including brakes, steering mechanisms, and transmissions, to maintain vehicle performance and safety.
  • Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all services and repairs conducted, providing valuable insights for future improvements.
  • Collaborate with other team members to optimize workflow and achieve operational efficiency.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of recent full-time experience working as a Motor Mechanic.
  • Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology is mandatory.
  • Diploma of Automotive Technology will be highly regarded.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of vehicle repair, safety, and maintenance protocols, with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
