The Role

We're seeking an experienced Accounts Officer who understands double-entry bookkeeping and foreign currency concepts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing accounts payable - posting supplier invoices, matching invoices to purchase orders, reconciling the AP ledger, and resolving discrepancies
  • Assisting in preparing documentation for exports
  • Managing the General Ledger - posting non-PO supplier invoices
  • Processing expense claims - reimbursing employees for expenses
  • Credit cards - posting entries and reconciling to the monthly statement
  • Preparing new supplier credit application forms
  • Reconciling intercompany ledgers for the Australian arm of the business

You

To be considered, you'll have proven experience in a collaborative accounting environment in a similar role. The following attributes will be highly regarded:

  • Prior experience in bookkeeping and/or accounts officer, preferably within manufacturing
  • Quick to learn new systems and procedures
  • Strong MS Office Suite skills
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Strong time management and attention to detail is essential
  • Knowledge and experience with foreign currency concepts
