The Opportunity

This role provides timely and rigorous cost performance monitoring, analysis, control and reporting across projects and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain project cost control plans and Work Breakdown Structures within the program.
  • Manage and update project cost forecasts for the current financial year and the Estimate at Completion for the project life cycle.
  • Provide appropriate time phasing for the financial year and project life forecast aligned to the project schedule and procurement plan.
  • Support administration of project's change control process and development of project's internal resource forecast.
  • Ensure accurate capture of project cost data, reflecting the current commercial and cost position of the project.
  • Provide detailed regular and ad-hoc cost performance reports for the project performance team and the wider project team.
  • Prepare and review monthly accruals and cost recoveries, budget reallocations and transfers per approved change orders.

Requirements:

- Demonstrated extensive experience in cost management or equivalent management responsibility in a high-risk environment.

- Ability to understand complexities of public operating context and negotiate transactions, relationships and make recommendations.

- Ability to influence, coach and communicate cost management concepts and principles to people with limited knowledge in these areas.
