The successful candidate will contribute to the physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs and wants of residents through assessment and observation. They will implement clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse, and as documented in the resident's plan of care. Additionally, they will assist residents with their personal care and hygiene needs while encouraging their independence.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Supporting residents to live the life they choose
• Contributing to the physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs and wants of residents
• Implementing clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse
• Assisting residents with their personal care and hygiene needs
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent recognized qualification
• Ability to engage with residents and experience in dementia support
• Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize workloads
• Demonstrated flexibility, empathy, and patience with the aged person and their needs
• Demonstrated ability to provide holistic care
• Demonstrated respect for residents' privacy, dignity, and self-esteem
• Commitment to continuous quality improvement
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
