Key Responsibilities- Advocate in child protection and family law cases, including court appearances, duty lawyer services, legal advice, casework, and community education.
- Deliver high-quality legal services in criminal law and family violence matters.
- Manage casework, offer legal advice and early resolution services, and work with other legal professionals and community groups.
- Demonstrated experience in advocacy and managing casework in criminal law, family law, and family violence matters.
- Understanding of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005, the Family Law Act 1975, and related legislation.
- Strong abilities to engage with clients, including children and vulnerable individuals, and work well with others.
- Flexibility in handling diverse legal matters and working in various settings, including court and outreach locations.
- A current Australian practising certificate which entitles you to practise in Victoria as a government legal practitioner (mandatory).
