About the Role

Berry Street is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant to join our team in a key leadership position. As a Consultant - Teaching Family Model, you will be responsible for managing one residential home with up to four young people, providing direct line management of a team of Practitioners, and driving implementation of the Teaching Family Model (TFM) in an existing therapeutic residential home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and operational management of a core team
  • Mentor, coach, and supervise staff to improve outcomes for young people in care
  • Provide supervision, monitor workloads, and individual performance
  • Role model best practice principles and understanding of the Out of Home Care System to young people and the team
About You

We are looking for a leader with proven mentoring skills, sound experience working with young people who live with the impacts of trauma and neglect, and a keen sense of professional development. You will be a strong advocate for young people in care and have a thoughtful and proactive approach to leadership and coaching. A Bachelor level qualification in Social Work or other relevant field is required.
