At St Jude's Disability Services, we pride ourselves on providing innovative and high-quality services for individuals with disability and psychosocial needs.

This role plays a vital part in enabling clients to achieve their goals and increase independence within the community. As a Disability Support Worker, you will work within the NDIS funding framework to provide support to individuals with disability and/or psychosocial needs, helping them to manage daily living tasks and promote positive behaviours, learning experiences, and skill development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Affirmative support with social outings, shopping trips, and medical appointments
  • Assistance with activities of daily living, including toileting, showering, and dressing at clients' homes
  • Domestic duties and meal preparation/eating assistance
  • Medication administration duties
  • Communication with families and representatives as required

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Proof of working rights (passport or visa)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Working With Children Check
  • Previous experience in the health/disability sector or relevant Cert III qualification (desirable but not essential)
