About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee the management and maintenance of our racecourse tracks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all training and racing surfaces are prepared to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of sand training tracks, synthetic training and racing tracks, turf training tracks, and turf racing track
  • Collaborate closely with the GM Racecourse to lead and develop a team responsible for various maintenance tasks
  • Ensure that the tracks are prepared for daily horse training requirements and 38 scheduled race meetings per season

Requirements:

  • Minimum three years' experience in managing both training and racing surfaces
  • Demonstrated leadership and team development skills
  • Strong knowledge of agricultural and turf machinery used to prepare racing and training surfaces
  • Strong understanding of horse training and racing operations and how surfaces need to be maintained to meet industry requirements
