Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to enhance operational standards across early childhood services. This role involves assessing quality, compliance, processes, and business management while providing guidance and coaching to improve performance and strengthen key areas.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting quality assessments across services to ensure compliance with National Quality Standards and balanced scorecard standards
  • Providing recommendations to enhance operational performance and meet National Quality Framework requirements
  • Using reporting tools to evaluate quality outcomes and deliver data-driven insights
  • Identifying and supporting training needs for centre managers and service teams
  • Fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Coaching and mentoring leaders to drive continuous improvement and best practices
  • Staying up-to-date with sector trends in leadership, coaching, and mentoring
  • Representing the organisation as a guest speaker at Centre Manager meetings when required
  • Ensuring professional communication and contributing to process improvements
  • Supporting policy and procedural enhancements to improve quality outcomes
  • Planning and scheduling assessments, audits, and coaching sessions to support team development
  • Participating in team, state, and national meetings, including conferences
  • Collaborating with leadership teams to drive quality and compliance initiatives
  • Promoting best practices in early childhood education, business performance, and team development
  • Following all organisational policies, including the Code of Conduct and professional standards
  • Committing to ongoing learning and professional development opportunities

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent)
  • Experience in internal auditing, coaching, and assessment
  • A strong understanding of ACECQA requirements and compliance standards
  • A current Working with Children Check and Driver's Licence
  • Qualifications in ISO auditing, management or training & assessment desirable
  • Experience as a Centre Manager or in a field assessor role
  • Knowledge of a childcare software such as Storypark Manage and CCMS desirable
