Job Title: Head of Tax

Anton Murray Consulting is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Tax to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our tax function and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of our tax strategy, ensuring alignment with our business objectives.
  • Manage and oversee the preparation of all tax returns, including income tax, GST, FBT, and other relevant returns.
  • Provide taxation advice to our business lines and functions, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage risk associated with our taxation obligations, including tax compliance with legislative change and business operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external tax authorities, including the ATO and IRD.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal governance, policies, and procedures, including mandatory training requirements.
Requirements:
  • Post-graduate qualifications in taxation law, such as a Master of Taxation or International Taxation.
  • Minimum of 10 years tax experience, including at least 5 years in a Head of Taxation role.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian and New Zealand tax laws, including income tax, international tax, GST, FBT, and transfer pricing.
  • Experience working in a banking industry, preferably in an investment bank.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex tax information to non-tax expert stakeholders.
