About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Administrator to join our team at Redpath Partners Pty. As a key member of our project administration team, you will be responsible for managing project contracts, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of projects, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project contracts, including preparation of contract documentation, negotiation of terms, and administration of contract variations.
  • Develop and implement cost management strategies to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
  • Provide input to financial reports and ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
  • Collaborate with site supervisory staff to ensure project scope and inclusions are clearly understood.
  • Prepare tender documentation, including tender and pricing schedules, scope of works, and comparative tender analysis.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
  • Negotiate with clients, contractors, legal advisors, and company management to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or similar.
  • Proven experience using Procor and other project administration software.
  • Solid experience working as a Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor on large-scale building projects.
  • Understanding of commercial and legal issues pertaining to head contracts.
  • A working knowledge of major building trades.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Experience in quantity surveying/estimating.
  • Strong experience in tender processes and trade procurement.
  • Preparation of Head Contract variations.
  • Assessing subcontractor variations.
  • Financial understanding and knowledge of construction costs.
