About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Administrator to join our team at John Holland. As a key member of our contracts team, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and negotiation of contracts with sub-contractors, as well as providing contract administration services to support project control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting and Reviewing Contracts: Develop and review scopes of work, tender packages, and contract documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with sub-contractors to negotiate contract terms and conditions, ensuring fair and reasonable outcomes.
  • Contract Administration: Manage and maintain commercial and contract systems, including project costs reporting, asset registers, and contract management databases.
  • Cost Forecasting: Ensure accurate cost forecasting for allocated subcontracts and cost codes, and provide timely updates to project management teams.
  • Specification and Drawing Interpretation: Interpret specifications and drawings to understand the scope of works for projects at both head contract and sub-contract levels.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess commercial and contractual risks associated with project delivery, and implement controls to mitigate these risks.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Relevant QS experience in accounting, finance, engineering, or associated disciplines, with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite and contract management systems.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
