The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Residential Real Estate Credit division as a key member of the team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for assessing residential and investment loan applications within your delegated lending authority.
- Assess individual, company, trust, construction, and SMSF loan applications
- Demonstrate due diligence and attention to detail by reviewing and extracting information from documentation, such as income & financial statements, trust deeds and identification documents, to confirm creditworthiness
- Create a comprehensive Credit Approval Request Form (CARF) outlining the processes taken to reach a decision and recommendations
- Collaborate with other Analysts, Team Leaders and Credit Leads to workshop applications and discuss potential risks and opportunities
- Manage credit risk and ensure all relevant policies and guidelines are maintained and applied in making informed decisions
- Effectively communicate credit decisions or workshops
- Prioritize delivering exceptional customer service to referral partners, customers and internal stakeholders
- Build strong relationships with referral partners, customers, internal & external stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration
- Adhere to our Customer Service Charter and provide regular updates on progress
- Attend to general stakeholder enquiries and provide insightful suggestions for possible process and operational improvements
- Support other teams within the division as needed with credit assessments for both upfront, backend, and re-allocation applications
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual who possesses:
- A degree in a business-related field, or prior experience in the banking/finance industry
- Demonstrated experience in retail lending is advantageous
- Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills
- A keen eye for detail and ability to identify discrepancies within data
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-pressure work environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances
