The Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Spray Painter to join our team, responsible for producing high-quality finishes on heavy vehicles. As part of this role, you will work closely with experienced spray painters to develop your skills and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of vehicle surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking.
  • Mixing and matching paint colours to achieve precise colour matches.
  • Application of paint using spray guns and other equipment, ensuring even coverage and smooth finishes.
  • Application of primers and sealers to promote paint adhesion and prevent rust.
  • Multiple layers of paint application, including basecoat, clearcoat, and special effects coatings.
  • Blending new paint into existing areas and performing detailed touch-ups to correct imperfections.
  • Creation of special textures, patterns, or effects using various techniques.
  • Monitoring and controlling drying and curing processes, as well as inspecting painted surfaces for flaws.
