Procurement Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Procurement Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to develop their skills in procurement and make a real impact on the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing procurement category strategies across Australia and New Zealand. They will have a focus on Transport & Warehousing and will be able to identify, evaluate, negotiate, appoint, and manage suppliers in a way that creates competitive advantage and leverages our scale and global footprint.

The ideal candidate will have highly effective interpersonal skills, be an excellent negotiator, influencer, and communicator, with demonstrated ability to develop credible business relationships with all types of people across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute procurement category strategies across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate, appoint, and manage suppliers in a way that creates competitive advantage and leverages our scale and global footprint.
  • Manage cost reduction activities and best practice tools and methods within a complex and varied supplier environment.
  • Effective dispute resolution and stakeholder management skills across multiple internal and external platforms.
  • Active participation with cross-functional teams in Operations, Finance, Marketing, IT, R&D, and Supply Chain.
Requirements:
  • Preferred CIPSA or equivalent qualification highly desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of FMCG with 7 yrs min in procurement roles – depth in category management.
  • SOUND knowledge of supply market fundamentals, strategic sourcing processes, Indirect category related procurement preferred.
  • Excellent balance of analytical & negotiation skills.
  • Contract writing / risk analysis / liabilities and indemnities / SLA's / and general commercial terms.
  • SOUND understanding of SAP and P2P Governance and Controls.
