About the Role

As a Grower, you'll be hands-on using data and insights to make informed decisions to strengthen the quality and yield of the crop.

This role requires someone who can plan and manage crop production activities to meet yield and quality targets. You will monitor crop health, climate conditions, and irrigation schedules, and utilize systems for crop and climate controls.

You will work collaboratively with other departments to achieve common goals. Your responsibilities will include assisting with pest and disease management, including implementing IPM strategies, and leading and supervising direct reports.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Grower or Agronomist and possess strong practical knowledge of crop cycles and climate control systems, including glasshouse software and technology.

Key skills and qualifications:

  • A degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field is advantageous but not essential;
  • Prior experience as a Grower or Agronomist;
  • Strong practical knowledge of crop cycles and climate control systems, including glasshouse software and technology;
  • Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • A proactive, collaborative attitude with great communication skills.
