Horticulture Grower Role

Established in 1995, our nursery has grown to become one of the largest wholesale suppliers in Australia. We are seeking a highly motivated Horticulture Grower to contribute to our team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate plant production, taking into account environmental factors and market demands.
  • Select suitable seeds and tissue culture plant stock for cultivation.
  • Develop strategies for cultivating, fertilizing and watering to maintain optimal growing conditions.
  • Organise and supervise daily greenhouse operations, including potting, spacing, grading and dispatching of stock.
  • Implement biosecurity measures to ensure plant health and control pests and weeds effectively.
  • Oversee maintenance teams regarding infrastructure, including greenhouse equipment and water supply systems.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees in the Main Greenhouse.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Horticulture (or equivalent experience as a Horticulture Grower).
  • Proven experience in a large nursery environment.
  • Strong understanding of market trends and environmental factors affecting nursery production.
  • Proficient in using nursery technology and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
