Project Finance Leadership Role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is a global leader in Project Finance and one of the largest Project Finance houses in Australia. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Vice President, Project Finance.

This key position involves providing support and management of project finance origination activities to new and existing clients of MUFG. You will build proactive relationships with other Departments within the MUFG group, focusing on lending and bank products, while also including project advisory services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Managing Directors and Directors in arranging project finance transactions
  • Manage directly allocated project finance lending and advisory transactions
  • Ensure all assigned credit matters are managed efficiently, including negotiation of terms and conditions, finalisation of documentation, arrangement and finalisation of due diligence
  • Contribute to the provision of structuring, ratings, and other project advisory services
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with project sponsors/borrowers/advisors/legal counsels/funds/bank customers
  • Manage and instruct junior staff to achieve business objectives
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and manage general administration matters within Project Finance.
Requirements:
  • 4 – 6 years' experience in the industry with relevant project finance knowledge
  • Undergraduate Business / Commerce / Law Degree from a leading university
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with expertise in project management, credit analysis and documentation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Previous experience in a leadership role providing guidance and mentorship to a developing team
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
