Senior Associate, Project Finance

As an Associate / Senior Associate, you will be part of the Project Finance team, supporting the origination and execution of Project Finance transactions.
The team is a leader in financing renewable energy projects, infrastructure, and PPP transactions within the Australian market.
This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile infrastructure projects and transactions that support Australia's renewable energy and transition metals sectors, aligning with Westpac's Net Zero Banking Alliance commitment.
You will evaluate the credit quality of complex debt transactions across Power & Renewables, Infrastructure & PPP, and Natural Resources sectors, supporting the development and execution of these transactions.
To succeed, you'll need a strong mix of technical skills, commercial insight, and collaborative energy.
Here's what will help you succeed: Proven understanding of project finance or complex debt transactions, including financial models, credit papers, RFP submissions, loan structuring, pitches, and sector research.
Ability to develop and maintain a comprehensive investor/bank network in the Asia-Pacific market, focusing on delivering safe, well-understood risk solutions.
Strong collaboration skills to work with relationship managers, syndications, risk, financial markets, and other stakeholders, delivering value through shared knowledge and insights.
A curious mindset, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to articulate complex financial concepts clearly, possibly gained through consulting, corporate, or banking experience.
