Job Summary

The Commercial Sales Engineer plays a critical role in driving sales growth through the promotion and sale of commercial HVAC products or services.

This position requires a balance of technical expertise and sales acumen to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client expectations and industry standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Effective implementation of sales strategies as directed by senior management.
  • Active participation in new product launches & pilot projects pertaining to new strategic directions implemented by the company.
  • Provide total HVAC system solutions, promote capabilities and extensive product range.
  • Build strong relationships with clients to identify market opportunities and drive business growth.
  • Maintain strong product knowledge and avail yourself to training both internal and external as may be deemed required from time to time.
  • Maintain network of industry intelligence to ensure competitiveness and professional presentation of proposals are closely monitored and exceed industry expectations.
  • Ensure all equipment selection data is collated and entered into client submissions within response KPI's.
  • Ensure 100% compliance to sales order process outlined by senior management.
  • Provide accurate individual sales and order forecast to senior management.
  • Active participation in internal team meetings to drive business growth and improve processes.
  • Collaborate with sales support teams to ensure customer expectations are clearly communicated and met.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in HVAC field - 8 years.
  • Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of the HVAC market and an extensive network of clients.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing business strategies.
  • Ability to develop solution-based sales strategies.
  • Ability to work and be successful in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
  • Strong resilience and ability to adapt to change.
  • Ability to work with CRM systems.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to read and deliver desired outcomes while understanding factors in the environment that impact clients.
  • Strong techno-commercial problem-solving skills.
