Job Role:

The Policy and Executive Support Specialist plays a pivotal role within the Allied Health Strategy and Policy team, providing expert policy guidance and leading strategic allied health workforce projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the timely preparation and provision of high-quality briefings and reports for senior officials regarding allied health professional policy, workforce, legislative, regulatory, and clinical governance issues.
  • Provide project support through the administration and coordination of several concurrent project activities associated with planning, monitoring, research, collation of information, and preparation of reports.
  • Offer executive support to the Chief Allied Health Officer and Deputy Chief Allied Health Advisor, along with general administrative support to the Allied Health Strategy and Policy team, including secretariat support for committees.
Requirements:
  • Experience in providing policy and executive support in a demanding environment and demonstrating effective output management and coordination skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management principles.
  • Sound written and oral communication skills.
  • Capacity to provide secretarial and administrative support.
  • Critical thinking, research, and analytical skills.
  • Experience using various IT systems and software, along with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
