The Child and Youth Mental Health Service is seeking a qualified Allied Health Practitioner based in Hobart. This position is also advertised as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (one position will be filled on merit). We are seeking an Allied Health Professional with experience delivering evidence-based therapies and assessment within mental health or a relevant/related sector. You would work within a well-supported, innovative, diverse multidisciplinary team to provide developmentally appropriate treatment with young people and their support systems.
Our Aim: The Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) in Tasmania is growing. We are seeking passionate clinicians to deliver therapeutic services in partnership with young people experiencing mental health concerns. The Allied Health Practitioner will have a passion for providing a person-centred approach and working within a multidisciplinary team environment and delivering high-level clinical care.
Role and responsibilities- Being part of a dynamic and well supported team committed to delivering high quality mental health services to young people aged 16-24 who are experiencing mental health issues.
- Undertaking clinical services through the provision of assessment, individual therapies, and potentially group programs.
- Working alongside innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to refine new youth mental health services in Tasmania.
- Working with a diverse group of clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.

You will need to- Provide evidence-based assessment and treatment interventions for clients with major and complex mental health problems, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs.
- Function as an active member of a multi-disciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.
Permanent full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary: $110,425- $121,907 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
AllowancesAccess to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum
- Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
- Professional development and accelerated pathways.
- A range of leave entitlements, including study leave and Professional Development Support.
- Fitness Passport – You and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $13.95 per week per person, or $25.95 for a family.

EligibilitySuccessful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association
- Current Working with Children Registration
- Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

- Minimum of two years post graduate experience in an area relevant to the role
- Postgraduate qualification or working towards a postgraduate qualification relevant to the role
- Current Driver's Licence
