Job Opportunity

This role involves working as a Registered Midwife across all maternity services including Antenatal Outpatients, Antenatal Ward, Birth Unit, Postnatal Ward and Midwifery in the home. As a registered midwife, you will be part of a collaborative team that provides person centered and compassionate care.

About the Role

The role is to work across all maternity services, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive environment for patients, families, and staff. Key responsibilities include:

  • Work across all maternity services including Antenatal Outpatients, Antenatal Ward, Birth Unit, Postnatal Ward and Midwifery in the home.
  • Provide person-centered and compassionate care to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Current registration as a Registered Midwife with the National Nurses and Midwives Registration Board.
  • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to identify key messages, issues, and concerns when communicating with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety, and quality principles.
  • Familiarity with health information systems and strong computer skills, including Internet and email.
