Family Violence Crisis Responder

At our 24/7 family violence response centre, we provide a state-wide entry point for victim-survivors of domestic and family violence. Our vision is safety, support, and respect for all.
The role involves providing first-line response to service users, working as part of the Victorian state-wide Family Violence service team. You will be responsible for initial contact information, advice on service navigation, conducting brief needs assessments, and transferring service users to specialist family violence teams.
Key responsibilities include responding to incoming calls in a timely and professional manner, maintaining accurate client records, and identifying high-risk situations that require emergency intervention.
We are seeking an individual with a Diploma in Community Services or equivalent, along with experience working in fast-paced environments and strong computer literacy skills. A high level of attention to detail and competent writing ability are also essential.
If you have previous experience working within the Family and Domestic Violence sector, or a crisis or emergency service environment, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
