Family Violence Crisis Intervention Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to provide support to victim survivors of family violence, including children, cisgender heterosexual women, and people from the LGBTIQ+ community.
This role will involve responding to incoming calls and referrals from victim survivors, providing secondary consultations to professionals, and offering short-term case management to individuals in crisis accommodation.
The successful candidate will have a minimum Bachelor level qualification in Social Work or relevant experience in the family violence sector. They will also possess a comprehensive understanding of the Integrated Family Violence Service System and knowledge of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008 and the Common Risk Assessment Framework, MARAM.
- Provide expert assessment and response to victim survivors at risk
- Safety planning and intervention strategies
- Assertive engagement and outreach programs
- Extensive advocacy and referrals within the service system
