Are you a detail-driven professional with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills? We're looking for someone to join our team as a Pricing Specialist. As a key member of our Tender Management team, you will play a crucial role in creating and delivering commercial tender responses/proposals. Your expertise will help us secure new business opportunities and grow our customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and assemble commercial tender responses/proposals, working closely with our Local and Regional TM team\
  • Support commercial aspects of tender requests and perform cost analysis to ensure accurate pricing and competitive bidding\
  • Assign and distribute tasks and rate requests to overseas offices and support functions during the bidding process\
  • Negotiate rates with carriers and sub-contractors to optimize costs and improve efficiency\
  • Analyze and interpret ocean and air freight rates, as well as common terms and conditions\
  • Calculate rate and price conversions, including converting foreign currency to US dollars and vice-versa\
  • Maintain open communication with foreign operations, carriers, and local customers throughout the tendering process\
  • Present competitive pricing/bid packages and follow up with customers to obtain feedback\
  • Develop and maintain databases, service contracts, and port tariffs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information\
  • Generate reports as needed to track progress and identify areas for improvement\
  • Collaborate with vendors, shippers, customers, carriers, and Deugro overseas offices to deliver exceptional results

Requirements:

  • \
  • 5+ years of experience in managing commercial and operational aspects across various freight forwarding disciplines (land, air, ocean, etc.)\
  • Excellent knowledge of domestic and international geography, including countries and major cities\
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to evaluate competing deadlines and prioritize workflow efficiently\
  • Commercial, technical, and financial acumen, with a focus on data analysis and interpretation\
  • Organizational skills, including prioritizing, planning, assigning, and controlling tasks\
  • Awareness of risk factors and basic measures to manage and mitigate risk\
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in MS Office applications\
  • Ability to work under pressure, with a team-focused mindset and a keen eye for detail\
  • MS Office experience: Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and other software/tools
