About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead a team of Supervisors on a Shutdown project at a chemical plant in Central Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality services, ensuring correct materials, machinery, equipment, and personnel are available and suitable for completion of work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure correct material, machinery, equipment, and personnel are available and suitable for completion of work.
  • Responsibility that Supervisors and all labour are suitably trained and possess the necessary skills to undertake their designated responsibilities.
  • Assessment of risks and hazards involved in tasks, and methods to manage the hazards to prevent incidents, injury, and damage.
  • Maintain daily timesheets for labour and equipment.
  • Plan and coordinate resources and equipment for Outages and conduct the work in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure that the quality requirements of the client are adhered to and that Company procedures are followed.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in maintenance or shutdown projects, preferably in Chemical Plants or similar. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning Shutdown and Pre-Shutdown activities, solid communication and written skills, and the ability to establish clear lines of control and delegation.
