About the Role:

The Reliability Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance of the Coal and Ash Handling plant at Millmerran Power Station, which generates 870 MW of electricity to over 1 million homes.

This position involves providing technical, analytical, and engineering support for all coal and ash handling equipment, with a focus on maintaining a high level of safety, environmental responsibility, and protection of plant assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Site Superintendents and Client Representatives to identify and implement effective maintenance procedures and operation instructions.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis investigations, report findings, and implement derived actions to improve plant reliability.
  • Develop and administer quality management systems to ensure the effective lifecycle management of plant assets.
  • Provide technical advice on maintenance, reliability, and condition monitoring to support plant operations.

About You:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a Maintenance/Reliability Engineering role, with skills in failure analysis techniques such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Experience with CMMS systems and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A current driver's license.
