Job Summary

Highly rewarding position providing high-quality leadership, supervision, and direction to a team of support workers at the Matthew Talbot Hostel.

  • Exhibit sound leadership qualities that encourage a responsive and high-performing team.
  • Coordinate all aspects of onsite accommodation services, including room allocation, entry and exit inventories and condition reports, resident orientation, unit inspections, and associated reporting.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the needs of visitors to the building, including contractors and visiting staff.
  • Liaise with external agencies regarding vacancies and requests for accommodation.
  • Support the Accommodation Manager in promoting ongoing professional development of the team and aligning team members with service goals.
  • Assist with data collection within the service, reviewing daily and client records.

To be successful, you will need:

  • Minimum Cert IV or relevant work experience in welfare or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability in supervision and coordinating site management.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational, time management, and collaborative skills.
  • Experience working with diverse client groups, using sound judgment in crisis and emergency situations.
  • Ability to work on a rotating roster, including weekends, as per operational needs.
  • Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain.
