The role of General Manager involves overseeing and directing agency operations to ensure successful project delivery, profitability, and client satisfaction. Key responsibilities include managing competing priorities, meeting multiple timeframes, and maintaining the highest standards for quality assurance and operational excellence.
This position is ideal for an experienced leader who can drive business growth, motivate teams, and develop strategic partnerships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project delivery including resource allocation, workflow management, and quality control.
- Manage and grow profitability through successful project design and delivery.
- Maintain quality assurance and operational excellence standards.
- Support client services directors in developing new business opportunities and delivering pitches.
- Collaborate with managing directors on business systems and administration.
- Personally lead key client relationships, manage commercial opportunities, and undertake budgeting, reporting, and resource planning.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Significant senior leadership experience within an events agency.
- Strong people management, client management, and financial acumen skills.
- Proven track record in growing agency accounts, winning new business, and sales pitches.
- Excellent marketing thinking, communications disciplines, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent verbal communication, presentation, and proposal pitching skills.
