Job Title: Operational Risk Manager/Senior Manager

The Commodities and Global Markets Group at a leading financial institution is seeking an experienced Operational Risk Manager/Senior Manager to join its team. This senior role will be responsible for delivering strategic advice on managing end-to-end risks and enhancing the control environment.

This senior-level position requires a professional with a strong background in Financial Markets risk management, who can foster a robust operational risk culture, drive continuous improvement in processes and controls across the business, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to evaluate risks in new products and business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Risk Management: Leverage expertise in Financial Markets to deliver strategic advice on managing end-to-end risks and enhancing the control environment
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate risks in new products and business initiatives
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate incidents to identify root causes and test the effectiveness of controls
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in processes and controls across the business
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in Non-Financial Risk Management or Assurance supporting a Financial Markets business
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence at multiple levels
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to interpret and balance commercial issues within a risk framework
