Job Title: Strategic Risk Leader

We are seeking a seasoned executive to lead our Business Controls & Monitoring team. This pivotal role will involve steering the implementation and management of risk management and monitoring obligations across the division.

The successful candidate will partner with Senior Leaders to tackle risk and control challenges head-on. You will craft pragmatic solutions and see strategic ideas through to end-to-end implementation, while championing a strong risk culture that reflects core values of ethics and integrity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a talented team of risk professionals in implementing and managing risk management and monitoring obligations
  • Partnering with Senior Leaders to drive and support consistent adoption and integration of risk management frameworks, policies, and controls across the division
  • Developing and implementing effective action plans to manage risk issues
  • Overseeing risk management and reporting functions, providing vital monitoring and assurance
  • Facilitating Board and risk committee reporting, ensuring consistency, quality, and effectiveness

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 10-15 years of operational Risk experience, coupled with extensive experience in banking and financial services risk assessment
  • Significant focus on compliance, risk policy development, and quality assurance
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship skills, with the ability to build trust and foster collaboration
