Job Role: Disability Employment Specialist

About the Position

Making a positive impact in the lives of people with disability is at the core of this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with NDIS participants, families, schools, planners, Support Coordinators and community organisations to develop business relationships and attract new participants
  • Deliver employment support services to our NDIS participants, ensuring meaningful outcomes
  • Promote APM Futures' services at local events and exhibitions
  • Manage and convert leads from marketing and service centre activities
  • Build strong networks with employers to create tailored employment opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and organisational policies
  • Maintain accurate records and deliver high-quality, person-centred services
Requirements
  • Experience in Community Services, Employment Services or related roles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage caseloads effectively
  • Proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and team collaboration
What We're Looking For
  • Eligibility to work in Australia
  • A current driver's licence and comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Willingness to complete a Criminal History Check
  • Ability to obtain Working with Children Check & NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Successful completion of a NDIS Worker Orientation Module prior to commencement
  • Travel for service delivery and participant support as required
  • Availability to work full-time Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm
