Cost Estimator Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Estimator to join our dynamic team in Canberra, ACT.

As a Cost Estimator, you will be responsible for undertaking qualitative and quantitative analysis of a range of data sources on capability acquisition and sustainment activities.

You will support project governance and assurance activities and will directly contribute to routine program reporting.

This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Synthesise information and extract strategic level briefing knowledge from analysis
  • Undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Develop cost models for inputs to decision making processes
  • Maintain and adjust cost models through collaborative stakeholder engagement
  • Contribute to monthly governance and reporting
  • Identify and implement mitigation strategies to manage risks, issues and opportunities relating to governance of project objectives

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or a minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience.

Previous experience with Defence cost modelling tools and a strong understanding of Defence systems are highly desirable.

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Negative Vetting 1 Defence Security Clearance.
