Financial Modeler and Cost Estimation Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced cost estimation specialist to provide expert financial modelling and cost estimation services to support strategic decision-making across the project lifecycle.
The successful candidate will work closely with Defence stakeholders to ensure costing aligns with operational goals, procurement strategies, and value-for-money outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop detailed cost models and estimates for Defence capability projects using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
- Engage with technical and financial stakeholders to gather inputs and validate assumptions.
- Apply advanced costing techniques to identify cost drivers and assess financial risks and sensitivities.
- Prepare clear, defensible costing documentation and present findings to senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to the refinement of costing frameworks and best practices within Defence programs.
- Demonstrated experience in cost estimation and financial modelling within Defence programs.
- Proficiency in one or more Defence costing tools (CCT, ACEIT, TruePlanning parametric costing tool).
- Strong analytical and financial skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and confidently.
- Experience working in government or regulated environments is highly regarded.
- Level 3 consultants preferred; strong Level 2 candidates will also be considered.
Applicants must be Australian Citizens with an active NV1 clearance due to the nature of this role.
