About the Role

We are seeking a Hospitality Service Assistant to join our team at Bupaoptical's Barrabool care home. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care and services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain legislated workplace health and safety, quality and hygiene standards
  • Complete required documentation and reporting
  • Respond to residents' queries and requests
  • Perform laundry duties, including loading washers & dryers, sorting linen, hanging, folding, wrapping or ironing linen
  • Assist with basic food preparation, provide meals and snacks, clear dining areas and dishwash
  • Conduct general cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, and waste collection in residents' rooms, bathrooms, communal and living areas
Requirements
  • Previous catering / food service or cleaning experience preferred but not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week
  • Understanding of work health, safety and hygiene practices and ability to work unsupervised
