Aurizon seeks a legal professional to join our high-performing Legal team as a Legal Counsel on a fixed term basis.

About the Role
  • Provide high quality and commercially focussed legal advice to protect the organisation's interests.
  • Support the development and implementation of improved business efficiencies through continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts to support all aspects of the organisation's business.
  • Interact with and manage external legal advisors where necessary.
  • Assist in the conduct and coordination of litigation as required.
About You
  • Admitted to practice as a Legal Practitioner and hold a current practising certificate.
  • Ideally a minimum of 3 to 6 years' post admission experience.
  • Relevant law firm experience and training in areas such as commercial contracts, technology, procurement, governance & compliance, employment and safety.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication, influencing, presentation, negotiating and relationship building skills.
