About the Mining Coordination Role

We are seeking a Mining Coordinator to lead and direct production panels at our underground mine, achieving established operational objectives in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.

Duties Include:

  • Working with site management to achieve production and other targets
  • Liaising with engineers to ensure statutory and routine maintenance tasks are completed on time
  • Short-term planning (daily and weekly)
  • Completing required underground inspections for planning and auditing mine standards
  • Inputting plans into the mine planning tool and reviewing outcomes
  • Attending review and planning meetings as required by the Production Superintendent
  • Developing and implementing strategies to achieve reliability and availability levels
  • Early identification of obstacles to achievement of goals and implementation of strategies to address
  • Reviewing, developing, and implementing systems, standards, and process procedures for continuous improvement

The Working Lifestyle:

This position is offered on a Monday to Friday roster with one rostered day off per month, allowing for a residential lifestyle.

About You:

  • Practical experience in underground coal mining, particularly longwall and development mining methods
  • Previous supervisory and management experience (minimum Deputy qualification, Undermanager highly regarded)
  • Hold relevant certifications (S1, 2 & 3, G2)

About the Position:

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of underground coal mining practices and procedures. They will be responsible for leading and directing production panels, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
