Workplace Inclusion and Support Role

The role of a Workplace Inclusion and Support Officer is to empower people through inclusive employment opportunities.

Foster a safe, inclusive, and empowering workplace environment that promotes the growth and development of employees with disabilities or barriers to employment.

This involves working closely with Employment Coaches, Site Managers, and external stakeholders to create a culture of inclusivity and support.

  • Provide high-level support, leadership, and guidance to ensure the success of supported employment programs.
  • Oversight of case management, training, behavioural support, and goal development for employees we support.

In addition, contribute to operational compliance, efficiency, safety, and financial sustainability.

You will play a key role in ensuring the effective use of NDIS funding and aligning workforce planning with business needs.

Mentor and guide Employment Coaches in person-centred, rights-based employment supports, including complex case management, behaviour support, and trauma-informed approaches.

Lead learning and professional development across the site, including training of Employment Coaches, training of employees that we support, and ensuring compliance with changing legislative requirements.

Advocate for inclusive employment policies and represent the organization at forums and expos.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading a team of committed Employment Coaches in supporting employees with disabilities or other barriers to employment to succeed in their careers.
  2. Oversight of induction, goal development, and NDIS plan preparation.
  3. Ensuring effective use of NDIS funding and aligning workforce planning with business needs.
  4. Mentoring and guiding Employment Coaches in person-centred, rights-based employment supports.
  5. Leading learning and professional development across the site.
  6. Advocating for inclusive employment policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a related field.
  • Desirable qualification of bachelor's degree in social work or similar preferred.
  • Experience in disability support, social work, adult education, or supported employment.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and NDIS standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and client safety systems.
  • Willingness to obtain Blue Card, Yellow Card, and National Police Certificate.
