We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for our team in Toowoomba, Queensland. A Mechanical Engineer is responsible for planning, management, production and proficiency to the design, build, test and operation phases.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to resolutions to non-conformance reports and change management requests
  • Commitment to continuous improvement initiatives utilising lean manufacturing methods
  • Ensure best practice and Australian Standards, Regulations, and Codes are used in engineering outcomes
  • Ensure products are designed safe, functional and robust in performing their long-term operational tasks
  • Ensuring engineering tasks meet timeframes
  • Work effectively with the estimating, sales, project management, design and manufacturing teams
  • Manage research and development activities within the engineering and design context
  • Maintain a strong customer focus in order to understand requirements and identify solutions

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in relevant engineering software including AutoDesk Suite of Software and Space Gass
  • Working knowledge of the Australian Standards and the National Construction Code
  • Strong communication, analytical and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
