Electrical Field Specialist">

As an Electrical Field Specialist, you will provide project expertise in work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification, safety, quality control, technical inspection, and testing knowledge. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, meet quality standards, and conform to project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
  • Leads preparation of construction drawings and schedules, designs temporary facilities, and ensures "as built" drawings are prepared.
  • Prepare, review, and approve Electrical work packages.
  • Implement project specifications and procedures to ensure installation meets requirements.
  • Perform quality and completeness inspections of Electrical and Instrumentation installation.

Material Management:

  • Initiates requisitions for field purchases.
  • Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.
  • Reviews material receiving reports and performs material receiving inspections.
  • Quantities Verify commodities on quantity tracking systems or computer database systems as required.
  • Reporting installed quantities to Project Controls.

Safety / Quality Control:

  • Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements implemented by craft and others in the operational area.
  • Perform quality control inspections and manage Inspection and Test Records (ITRs).
  • Ensure completed work packages and ITRs submitted to Turnover.

Technical Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
  • Oil & Gas or LNG Project construction experience assigned as Electrical Field Engineer.
  • Direct Hire Experience preferably in a lump-sum environment.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of applicable Bechtel work processes including Standard Work Process Procedures.
  • Familiarity with Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAPs), including Setroute, TEAMWorks, Aconex, DSCS, and Unifier.
  • Understanding of Electrical Equipment Hazardous Areas (EEHA) and related Australian Standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
