This involves budgeting, personnel management, and collaborating with other departments to identify gaps in patient care and service delivery. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Main Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of nurses and healthcare professionals to deliver safe and effective patient care.
- Policy Development: Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and address gaps in patient care and service delivery.
- Budget Management: Manage budgets and resources to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- A current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a leadership or management role in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Collaborative Mindset: Able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong Analysis: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., nursing, health administration).
- Experience working in a tertiary or secondary care setting.
- Knowledge of clinical governance principles and practices.
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives and projects.
