Job Title

A Senior Power Sector Expert is required to lead power market analysis, thought leadership and client engagement, and business development for the Australia market. The role includes industry-leading skills training and learning opportunities.

This senior position is ideal for an experienced professional working in the Australian power & renewables industry with a passion for understanding big picture trends in the energy sector.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Thought leadership and analysis of the Australia power & renewables market
  • Managing and updating regional power dispatch models and price forecasts
  • People management for the Australia power and renewables research team

Requirements

  • High interest and aptitude for market analysis and power modelling
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in an analytical role in the power & renewables industry
  • Good understanding of power markets and policies, technology costs (LCOE, fuel markets etc.) and company strategies
  • Enthusiasm, curiosity, willingness to expand knowledge and skills, ability to tackle challenging questions and rethink conventional wisdom
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as engineering, science, economics, finance or other area
  • Strong Excel skills, data and database management expertise preferred
  • Strong organisation, planning and time management skills
  • Effective writing and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Fluency in English mandatory, fluency in another Asian language a plus
