Renewable Energy Investment Director

We are seeking an exceptional Investment Director to lead our renewable energy division in Sydney. This strategic role is crucial to advancing our commitment to sustainable energy investments, focusing on utility-scale projects in wind, solar, and battery storage across the APAC region.

It is a subsidiary of one of the largest financial services organisations globally, serving millions of clients, including individual investors, financial advisors, and institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute investment and origination strategies for a significant portfolio of renewable energy assets, driving growth and long-term value.
- Lead the investment team in managing complex transactions and overseeing the origination of new investment opportunities.
- Make critical investment decisions based on comprehensive analysis, including due diligence, financial modelling, and risk assessment.
- Identify and evaluate new project opportunities and partnerships in renewable energy, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
- Oversee and enhance the performance of the renewable energy portfolio, implementing strategies to maximise returns.
- Direct high-stakes negotiations and structuring of major investment deals.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders.
- Identify emerging investment opportunities and trends in renewable energy.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
- Prepare and present investment reports and strategic recommendations to the investment committee.
- Proven track record in investment management specifically related to renewable assets.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting due diligence, financial modelling, and valuation of renewable assets.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business and advanced qualifications such as an MBA, CFA, or equivalent are required.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and capitalise on investment opportunities.
