This is a high-level managerial position overseeing the Commonwealth Psychosocial Support program. The role guides a team of Recovery Workers to deliver psychosocial support to individuals living with severe mental health conditions.
The ideal candidate will ensure program compliance, monitor service delivery, and promote recovery-focused approaches in a collaborative work environment.
Main Responsibilities:- Oversee daily operations to meet funding guidelines and organizational policies, maintaining adherence to ethical standards and risk management practices.
- Manage tailored psychosocial support for clients, including assessments, goal-setting, and individual recovery plans.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision to a dedicated team of Recovery Workers, fostering a positive and supportive work culture.
- Build relationships with clients, families, community services, and external stakeholders, advocating for client needs and service improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in social work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Current police clearance certificate (less than six months old).
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Working with Children Check.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Valid driver's license.
- At least five years of experience in mental health services, with two years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Proven experience working with marginalized groups.
- Strong commitment to consumer-centred care and recovery-focused services.
- Lived experience of mental health recovery or as family members of people with lived experience of recovery is desirable.
- Skills in project management and familiarity with Australian mental health legislation.
