Karratha based PM required to develop weed management programs, work with industry and support in the delivery of the programs throughout Pilbara.

Our client, a non-profit and non-government Incorporated Association focused on direct management of several weeds throughout the Pilbara, is currently on the lookout for an enthusiastic Program Manager/Field Officer. They would be employed full-time to deliver weed management programs across the Pilbara and work closely with industry to develop and implement programs across different land tenures. The role would be based in Karratha, with additional benefits on offer including a car for personal and work use, as well as residential and utilities allowances among other subsidies and on top of a competitive salary.

**The Role**:
As Program Manager/Field Officer, you would be expected to undertake the following;
- Managing all aspects of the on-ground weed control program (Developing proposals, organising contractors, scheduling and more)
- Delivering on-ground weed control activities (mostly surveillance 3-4 days a month for around 9 months of the year)
- Working within Incorporated Associations guidelines (such as organising required committee meetings, maintaining required registers/documents)
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders old and new via advocacy, education, and resourcing

**Your Skills and Experience**:
First and foremost is a keen interest in the land and a drive to achieve sustainable outcomes for all stakeholders throughout the Pilbara region. In addition;
- Qualifications or experience in Natural Resources Management, Environmental or Agricultural Science.
- Ability to travel throughout the Pilbara region, working independently and remotely as needed
- Strong financial management skills
- Experience in project management (ideally within grant and contract framework)
- Strong communication skills to work with a variety of individuals and groups
- A current C class driver's licence

The following skills/experience would be great to have but not strictly necessary;
- Currently registered as a Licenced Pest Management Technician (LPMT)
- Completion of Quad Bike Safety Course
- Experience with GIS mapping software such as ARCGIS
