Job Title: Medical Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide primary medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and defence policies.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality medical care to patients.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support the health and wellbeing of Defence members.
  • Conduct assessments to determine Defence personnel's fitness for duty.
  • Provide expert medical technical advice to senior management and unit commanders.
Working Conditions:
  • You will work in various settings, including outpatient and inpatient departments.
  • You will receive strong support from a team of experienced medical professionals.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Medical Practitioner in Australia with AHPRA.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM).
  • A minimum of 2 years full-time post-graduate experience in general practice within the last 5 years.
  • Ongoing professional development activities in accordance with AHPRA.
  • CPR certification.
  • Australian citizenship is required for security clearance.
